I realize that I am not being as productive as I could or should be at school or work. I found myself being sidetracked by social media, TV, friends, etc. Therefore, I began to look up some articles online to help me become more productive in my daily activities. There were hundreds of articles, such as 6 Simple Ways To Have a More Productive Day, published online sharing what they believed to be the best ways to be more productive in your daily life. I'm going to share with you some of the tips I discovered after reading these articles.
Set Daily Goals for Yourself
as you are getting ready for the day, think about what tasks that you want to accomplish and set your sights on achieving those goals. Picking goals out early in the day will allow you to develop a game plan or plan of action on how you are going to tackle these tasks. This will enable you to be more focused and more likely to dismiss the day to day distractions that you would face.
Take Breaks.
It is very important to take breaks periodically to stay productive at work. When focusing on a task for too long you can become bored and begin to get distracted by little things more easily. Be sure you do not work while taking these breaks because this is the time for your brain to rest. Taking these small breaks allows you to regroup and refocus on the task at hand.
Celebrate and Reflect.
It is nice to reward yourself for a job well done. You work hard on a daily basis and you should acknowledge what you accomplished. Be sure to reflect on your day and see what you did and did not do. Think about those times in the day where you felt unproductive, and find out what was happening at that time to make you feel that way. Then think of a way to address it so it will not happen again the next time.
